    Is the mechaber here on a first name basis with various gedolim mentioned above, such as Rav Moshe, Rav Frank, etc. (as opposed to Rav Breuer)? :)

    If so, he may be a gadol of that stature himself. Impressive. :)

      That's a little over the top.

      I changed it.

      In German Orthodoxy they didn't worry so much about the Rabbi title. Look at the Hirsch Chumash. It's not called the Rav Hirsch Chumash.
